Ride Report for Ride Captain Silverhawk
We rallied just around the corner from our hero’s grandparent’s house. So we had a very short ride to meet and greet our hero. We came with horns blaring to let the town know we were there, and to get our “SHERO” as one fellow put it. It didn’t take long for Rachel to investigate what all the noise was about. Once we had her outside, we introduced her to the group. And once we got to see her smiling from ear to ear, amazingly cold air wore off. After many hand shakes, hugs, and thank yous for this “SHERO” I asked permission for us to escort her home. That quick someone yelled out “put her on the bike” which sent her over the top with joy. The knight on the steel horse agreed to take her on the bike. As we turned the corner onto Rachel’s street we could see all those American flags that get handed out by the magical workers from Operation Yellow Ribbon and we knew we brought another American hero home to her family.

WWR had received a request from Avi, the fiance’ of Aviation Electronics Technician Airman Jonathon D. DeMarco to provide an escort for him to a combination Welcome Home / Birthday party for the returning Hero. Avi knew it would be tough to get Jon to the Warriors Watch rally point, so she was going to tell Jon that her mother’s car was disabled and that they had to pick her up.

On Sunday morning November 11, 2012 Warriors Watch Riders honored veterans at Faith Baptist Church of Sellersville. It was a great way to spend Veterans Day.
We had approximately 30 plus bikes and some cages rallying at Berean Bookstore in Souderton. Our bus of Veterans arrived approximately10:45 a.m. to a WWR flag line and the Perkasie Police ready to escort us. Hilltown police picked up the escort a few miles from our destination at Faith Church. After arriving at the Church, WWR formed a flag line inside the church for our veterans to walk through, which included vets from WWII to the present. Pastor Paul opened the service, that consisted of some history, and a day of honor and appreciation for our service men and women and through our nation’s history. WWR coined each vet and A Hero’s Welcome Presented each one with a certificate. Our own, Wayne Lutz, gave some inspiring words about WWR’s mission. Pastor Paul finished the service out with a short message about freedom and honor for our serviceman and women.
It was a very inspiring day for sure!
A big thank you to all of our WWR people that came out to support this special day, to the Hilltown and Perkasie Police Departments, the congregation of Faith Baptist Church for their support and last but not least, our veterans!!!

The Teach the Children post below this one was held on Friday, November 9. This one was held on Monday the 12th, by the Middle School in Glen Mills, in Delaware County, Pa. This was another wonderful example of the way a school staff teaches their children the value of our military.
Once again the Warriors Watch rode their motorcycles into the property, passing between two very large rows of students lining the driveway with flags and cheering and applause!
After our arrival, where a crowd of invited veteran guests were waiting outside at the flag pole, we all went inside to the auditorium for the event put in place by the school. There were songs and speeches in honor of our troops, and I presented a speech in honor of the veterans present.
There were 14 invited veterans present, accompanied by their relative students, who presented them one by one. At the reading of the bio of each, a member of the WWR then presented that vet with a WWR coin.
This was yet another example of the schools in PA system that are doing the right thing by their students, in value of our military.
Thank you, students!

VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION AT BERKLAY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
This was the fourth year that the WWR was invited to take part in the celebration of the Berklay Elementary School for Veterans Day. As usual we used our motorcycles to ride into the school yard and draw excitement from the hundreds of students!
Since the beginning in 2008 I have put extreme importance on teaching small children the importance of placing value and honor on our military men and woman. This event started with an introduction of the veterans invited to the school outside in the yard, followed by all going inside for a presentation in the auditorium. The WWR members formed a flag line inside along the back of the stage with the veterans sitting in chairs on the stage.
I gave a speech directed at the children, and they performed a wonderful America song that touched the heart.
When the presentation ended we were taken to classrooms in twos and threes to talk to the children and answer their questions about being a veteran and about the places we had served.
The way in which the teachers and staff of Berklay School is an amazing demonstration of the value they place on showing their students the patriotism of our veterans and the importance of simply thanking them when they meet a soldier, sailor, coast guard, airman or marine.
Thank you, Berkley Elementary School!

On a chilly Saturday evening November 3rd Warriors Watch Riders were joined by A Hero’s Welcome to honor and surprise Staff Sergeant Brant Warner, US ARMY as he celebrated his retirement from 23 years of dedicated service to our country.
Warriors’ Watch Riders were invited by Darya Warner to surprise Brant at a planned celebration for family and friends at the Hilltop AA. The WWR ride posting had to be a little “SNEAKY” as Brant is an active member of WWR and Derya knows he looks at the ride postings regularly. Darya tells us that every time Brant gets a message from Warriors’ Watch and cannot make the ride, he gets upset.
Brant and Derya Warner met while Brant was stationed in Germany. They were married in Denmark and have been married for 21 years. Derya says “Brant is everything to me, my strength, my friend, my sanity, my life”. They are the proud parents of Terry L.K. Warner and and Seniz Warner. While in the service, Brant received both his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Information Technology through online education.
Brant joined the US ARMY right after graduating from Susquehanna High School. He then served two tours in Germany. That service was followed by tours in Kuwait, Iraq and Saudi Arabia, Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield. Brant also served in Bosnia and Kosovo, Operation Joint Endeavor. He has been stationed in Colorado Springs CO and Ft. Drum NY. He served as a regular Army recruiter in New York, Levittown Pa. and Lakehurst NJ. He has also served as a medical recruiter, stationed in Cherry Hill NJ.
Brant is a volunteer firefighter with the Lower Southampton Fire Department Station 6 where he also dives with the Fire Department Dive and Rescue team. He is the President of the Veterans Advisory Council in Lower Southampton Township. In his spare time Brant likes to hunt and fish as well as ride his recumbent bike.
Warriors’ Watch Riders along with A Hero’s Welcome rallied at Brian’s HD at 7:15PM. After our ride briefing we took the short ride through Langhorne, down Rt 213 and onto Bristol road. Lee, George and Jeff (Huggy) blocked the intersections to ensure our safety. We proceed to the Hilltop AA where we entered the parking lot with horns honking and engines revving. We circled the lot and pulled up right in front of the main entrance where Brant, Derya and their invited family and guests had come out to see what all of the NOISE was about.
Brant looked a little surprised!! After receiving greetings from all of the WWR and AHW members, Vietnam Veteran Lee Cannon presented Brant with our WWR Honor coin and thanked him for his long and dedicated service to our country. Jane Thomas came forward and read the certificate from A Hero’s Welcome giving Staff Sergeant Brant Warner thanks from a grateful nation. JD
then came to the front and presented Brant a coin from the Combat Veterans Association and saluted Brant’s service. Brant was then presented a string of beads by Dutch and the significance of the colors in the string were explained. As always, we asked the honoree to say a few words. He said it felt strange being on the other side of a WWR presentation, but he was proud to have served his country and he thanked his family and friends for coming together to help celebrate this occasion with him.
In true WWR tradition we then formed for a group picture with our retiree joined by his very proud family and friends standing on the steps of the banquet hall.
Warriors’ Watch Riders would like to thank Derya, Terry, Seniz and the entire Warner family for inviting us to be part of this celebration for Brant. Thank you to A Hero’s Welcome for your energetic and unending support and recognition of our HERO’s.
Most of all, THANK YOU Staff Sergeant Brant Warner for your service, sacrifice and dedication for the past twenty-three years and for keeping us all free and safe back here at home
ARMY STRONG !!!!!!!!!!

With 43 bikes and a couple cages we rallied in Pitman to welcome home a returning Hero from the sandbox, Sgt. Jake Newcomb. Sgt. Newcomb returned this time from a 9 month Afghanistan deployment with two previous deployments of 16 months and 12 months respectively to Iraq. After a short ride brief about our Hero and of the route to be taken, we mounted up and with the Pitman P.D. providing safe passage for our riders along with the lights and sirens needed to help make our Hero feel Special and add to the welcoming, we proceeded to his residence to make some noise and to greet Jake. Sgt. Newcomb came outside to see what all the hub bub was about then was greeted by my fellow riders, back slapped, handshakes and just mugged with well wishes and thank you for our freedom. Then it was made known to Jake that we were also there to escort and take him to a party being held in his honor at a neighboring towns V.F.W. hall…we then made available a helmet to our Hero which he accepted and the mode of travel was on a Bike which added to the excitement of the ride and experience. With Pitman P.D. in the lead and having Mantua P.D. along to help negotiate the intersections travelled we made our way to the Mantua V.F.W. where Family, Friends, Town Officials, the Mantua Fire Department and our friends and partners in welcoming The Yellow Ribbon Club were in waiting to make our Hero feel like the Rock Star that he is. I would like to thank the Pitman and Mantua Police Departments for the safe escort of our Hero and our riders, the Mantua F.D., Mantua V.F.W., Yellow Ribbon Club, Town officials that were present, friends and family in making our Hero feel welcome. Special thanks to the riders, Nam Knights, Last Patrol, Legion Riders and my Brothers and Sisters of the Warriors Watch. Another Absolute Honor meeting and greeting an American Hero…Thank you Sgt.
