Ride Report for Ride Captain Frank Foster AKA Ghost Riders
The Warriors Watch Riders, together with Vet’s Roll & True Patriot’s Care Foundation were on high ground today as we Honored our WW II Veterans. A convoy of many riders and cages plus the veterans private vehicles were safely escorted through town with the aid of the local police and fire dept. The weather was warm and sunny and blustery as we started to roll on to the highway. I could see that we had a convoy like no other. a site to see.
As we approached our destination a gripping site overcame us as we saw the 100’s of American Flags on display in the Field of Honor, displayed in front of Culver’s Restaurant. There were many friends and family to greet us as we turned into the parking lot. In a short time a tribute to all those who served in WW II would start. But rain started before things got going. That did not stop nor did it turn away anyone. The program went on as scheduled and presented by Jerry Christopherson, President of True Patriots Care Foundation. Battles and dates were mentioned, the fold of the American Flag and meaning of each fold.
This was a great time for all even with the rain and I was grateful to get the chance to thank all those who were there on a personal note.
