Ride Report posted for   ‘POPS’

Katie came home Jan. 26 on leave from the Army Reserves, where she is a 68S Preventive Medicine Specialist Katie carried her M4 every day for nine months while serving in Iraq.

This mission started out with much confussion, Katies return date was not set until the night before she returned. The loss of a friend of Katies parents added to high emotion and confusion. Katie returned on Monday morning. Talking to Jim (Katies dad), we waited till the following Saturday to Welome Katie Home. It went off without a hitch. We staged at the McHenry VFW, rode to Katies house, picked her up in a Fire Engine and delivered her back to the VFW for a fantastic party. I would like to thank the McHenry VFW for allowing us the use of the hall, McHenry Police Dept for a great escort, McHenry Fire Dept for one heck of a carrige, and all three for great support they show our Heroes!
