Ride Report posted for Spike

We headed out to the airport and staged at Bob Dron’s.  Half the crew were at another airport on another Welcome Home happening at the same time.  Since the time was mid afternoon, most of the riders couldn’t get off of work.  We met the family at the airport & waited for Jeffrey to arrive.  Once he landed, he went straight to his mom for a big hug.  Then we had our chance to mug & hug.  We headed outside and waited for the family to arrive at our second staging area.  Once we got rolling, traffic was a little heavy due to the commute and hour of arrival.  Once we arrived in Oakley, we ran into Engine 93 – our local fire department, who escorted us to the house where we were met by friends, family and East County Military Families & Friends to welcome this young man home.  Several days later, the City of Oakley presented Jeffrey with a proclamation.  Also, he received a coin from the local Marine Corps League member, Dave Cooper.
