Well on January 20th at about 5:00 p.m. it was a very bitter cold Chicago evening, not only was it in the single digits, it was also snowing/raining ice pellets…But that did not prevent a dozen or so brave members to welcome home Sp. Andrew Zaremba..It was not only a privilege to welcome home Andrew Zaremba, it was a honor…This was a very special mission close to my heart, we were able to welcome home Andrew and also provide the overdue welcome home for his brother Adam as well. His brother Adam had not received a true hero’s fashioned welcome home, this due to the circumstances he had come home…Adam had also served in Iraq…Was an artillery specialist, however on one of his patrols, he was hit by a IED and lost his lower left leg and eventually had to be amputated…So his

homecoming at the time was not one of excitement…Well we were able to show him how much he meant to us as well that evening…It was a welcome home for two brothers that have fought so bravely for our country…As far as Andrew goes he was finally done with his military duties, he was home for good…He had been honorably discharged and couldn’t wait to come home back to Chicago….What a special feeling for not only his parents and brother, but a very anxious girlfriend who could not wait to wrap her arms around her long overdue “warrior” to return home to her. When the family pulled up in the parking lot they were shocked to see the flag line we had and that many people would show up on a such a night…Many hugs and plenty of thank yous went out to both Andrew and Adam…We had the privilege to be escorted by two wonderful police departments, both the Westchester and North Riverside police

departments…Many thank yous went out to our brave men in blue who protect and watch over us…We got them safe to there home in North Riverside were a quick presentation was given…Some more hugs and as usual we were gone as quick as we got them home…Again thank you both Andrew and Adam for your service and for protecting the freedom we love so very much….Again a big, WELCOME HOME ZAREMBA BROTHERS!!!!
