Ride Report posted for Ottoman

On August 30th, 2009 we staged at a local school about two miles from Austin’s house and watched as McHenry county police and Wonder Lake fire department joined us. The police and fire were asked to ROCK my neighborhood of Wonder Lake and they did! After almost a week of rain the sun was shining and it was in the mid 60’s, perfect leather weather! We rode through two different subdivisions and roared in honor of my son Marine L/Cpl Austin Otto and in memory and honor of Jon D. There had to be sixty bikes or more and several cages along with the LEO and fire support.

My son was in awe and my neighbors and friends got to see what we are ALL about! We did a short ceremony and then we escorted him and Yvette to McHenry. My son was on the back of my bike and Yvette on another as we left Wonder Lake with our escort. We were headed to do a tribute to our Great friend and family member Jon D. and host a party for Yvette.

I don’t believe there is any greater honor than for a son or daughter to follow in a parent’s footsteps and be a Marine or service member. To watch my fellow brothers and sisters of the WWR hug him and thank him made my day if not my year! My son was honored from the greatest Patriots I know and I thank you ALL… This will be one of the best memories my son and I will share forever. HOORAH!!! Thank you fellow Patriots and WWR members for all you do!!! One of your own, Ottoman.
