We welcomed home Jim Allum and his wife Lisa this evening – Sunday, August 17. We had between 11 and 22 bikes. We counted the axles for Wayne’s benefit. Seeing Jim’s face as he was coming down the escalator was worth all that we did today. The plane was delayed by about 10 minutes, but because of that they lost their gate. Lisa kept in contact with me the entire time they were on the plane waiting to get a gate. We all got a little exercise going from one gate to another,

I want to thank all of you that were there to welcome home Jim. Sorry about the speeds on 95.

Thanks go to Upper Chichester Police for picking us up on Chichester Ave and escorting us to Jim and Lisa’s apartment. Thanks also goes out to Jess (Our Cutest Cop) for setting up the LEO support. Jess, could you please give them a call and thank them for the escort?

Special thanks go out to the Reliance Fire Department for setting up the ladder trucks with the hugh flag across the road. Thank you for hanging in for the hour delay we had.

Grease thanks for escorting Jim to get his car and escorting us back to Engine 69.

I know you guys didn’t get much road guard duty in, but what you did was greatly appreciated.

Big round of applause to the entire team for making this Welcome Home happen. No matter what was thrown at us today we worked as a team and that got us through it all. I consider you guys and gals as family and am pround to ride with you.

Murph, It was great to see and ride with you again, and thanks for hanging with the bikes.

Jim and Lisa, Good luck out in Washington. You are the future of our Great Country Jim, and I am proud to have been able to welcome you home.
