This ride was for a Fallen Police Officer who lost his life on a call for a man with a gun. This was in 1980.
This ride was started by Tony Christi. A retired Philly Police Officer who graduated the Police Academy and worked with Ernie. We all met at our rally point and a plan was made. Philly Highway was there to escort us to our destination. Broad St and Germantown Ave. approx 5  miles away.

As luck would have it, one of our escorts was Officer Pawlowski. A brother of John Pawlowski. The last Police Officer killed in the line of duty on the streets on Philly.
We made it to our destination and created a flagline. The only concern I had was to not be in the way of the many P/Os there and family members. The ceremony took place with the Davis family seated up front and Officers flanking on three sides. Afterwards we were dismissed.

Thank You Ernie Davis, and also to the Davis family for your sacrifice.
Thanks to Philly Highway Patrol for another safe escort.
Thanks to all who attended this Plaque Dedication
