Ride Report posted for Glen DeVries
Another sunny day and a beautiful day for a ride. When we arrived at Anthonys home, of course we came in with blowing horns, loud patriotic music and the usual yelling of “Welcome Home”, followed by hugs and hand shakes. We not only welcomed home Anthony, but his sister Lisa who is in the Navy and is home for a short time after finishing some schooling. What a delight to see two smiling faces and being able to celebrate with both of them. Thank you to the the Diller family for inviting us to share in this celebration, especially on Fathers Day. A special thank you to Anthony and Lisa for protecting our freedom.’

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackWhat can I say folks? Thank you doesn’t seem like enough and yet it sums it up as best I can. I know this was a bit of a short notice and also father’s day, it was great. My father was there who was also in the Army and is heavily involved with his local American Legion. This group was the topic of conversation long after you departed. My daughter wants to get involved after her time in the Navy. I told her she doesn’t need to wait till then as I’m sure there is a chapter or group in Virginia where she will be stationed. My wife wants a flag or banner to put up in her bar. I’ll look at the online store to see what’s available. Again thanks doesn’t seem like enough but it also seems to be the most appropriate word.
I don’t know what to say but thanks. I had all I can do to hold back the tears of joy when yall rolled up. it was amazing feeling like I was ment something to someone. in a military town you don’t feel appreciated as all yall made me feel. again I say thank you
