Ride Report posted for Al “Bluesman” Philo

trooper

Flags throughout the state of Pennsylvania are flying at half-mast today, in honor of State Trooper Joshua Miller, who died in the line of duty on Sunday, June 7, 2009. The small town of Pittston, PA, was nearly shut down, for the viewing, held in the Pittston Area High School.

Thousands stood in line to pay their respects to this fallen American Hero, who died protecting us; law enforcement organizations, Fire fighters, EMTs, and citizens.

Friends of the Forgotten Northeast Wing members formed a flag line under extremely threatening skies. Reporters and TV news people interviewed us…we simply said we were there to honor and respect a Hero.

Pennsylvania State Troopers thanked us for being there…we simply said it was our honor and duty.

Tomorrow, Friday, June 12, 2009…the funeral. The procession will lead to the small town of Laceyville, PA, where Warriors’ Watch Riders and sister organizations will line the streets with flags, and hopefully, bikes. Again, the skies will be threatening, the weather predictions are not good. But then, bad weather never kept Trooper Miller from his duties, and it won’t keep us from ours.

Two sad days, in two small towns, but this is America…
and this is where true Patriots live…
small town America, God Bless You!
