Ride Report posted for JohnDelivers

It’s been getting very busy in NJ lately, but that hasn’t stopped the WWR faithful from coming out to show their support to one of the Real Heroes of America.

About 15 bikes, a cage or two, and the Evesham PD patiently waited for Jason Solomon and his young family to finish eating dinner at the Red Stone Grill in Evesham, NJ.  While making small talk with the officers Chopper learned that one officer had served our Country in two wars and was lacking a certain coin.  Chopper being Chopper, he rounded everyone up and coined Evesham Officer Merk for his service and dedication to protect our freedoms.  Good call Chopper.

Jason was enjoying his meal to the point that the manager of the Red Stone came out to say Jason just ordered dessert.  So…..we waited a little longer, no big deal.  For all these Heroes have given up for our benefit, a little wait is a piece of pie.

Our gang of bikers made its way to the front door area, right alongside an outdoor bar that was busy with patrons.  At first these fine folks were wondering what the heck was going on.  Upon learning a just returned Hero was almost done and coming out they all joined us in anticipation.  A couple of the ladies even came over and took up flags in our line, an awesome thing indeed.

The Solomon’s exited, a huge roar erupted from the crowd, and Jason was smiles from ear to ear.  He must have been tipped off as to how we Mug & Hug, because he was holding the baby as a defensive tactic.  Handshakes were plentiful though, so it’s all good.

Once we were all mounted up LEO took us past the bar crowd since they were so enthusiastic, and again they applauded Jason and his family.

It was a smooth ride to the Solomon home, made better by our Evesham LEO escort.  There is nothing like having some bells and sirens to make a Warrior feel like Rock Star.

We turned to the corner onto their street and their it was…that HUGE American Flag, hanging proudly from an FD ladder truck, for the whole world to see.  Fantastic!  God Bless America.

The Yellow Ribbon Club, neighbors, extended family, friends, etc. were all on hand to let Jason know that people really do care about our service members.  Several presentations were made including a coin changing hands.  Thanks for doing that Honor Ernie.

When Jason took a turn speaking he thanked everyone for their continued support of our Nation’s Warriors.  He spoke of some very difficult times while deployed.  But knowing that there were caring people back home would then lift his spirits and get him through those tough times.  Please keep sending care packages to our service members abroad; they appreciate all your efforts.  The efforts made by all of us, help these Warriors make it through until they can come home.

Thank you Jason Solomon, for all you do.  Thank you for your service.  Words of thanks also go out to Evesham PD, FD, EMT’s, Yellow Ribbon Club, and you the Warriors’ Watch Family.  God Bless.
