Ride Report for Ride Captain Peeps
We were asked by American legion Post 146 and Riverside Township to help with there Memorial Day Parade, of course we said Yes!!
We gathered at a local supermarket. There were 29 Bikes and 34 people, what a Great turnout! We moved out to the parade stagging area around 9am. At around 930am the parade kicked off with a Loud Rumble of all the bikes, that got the crowd excited and ready. There were people lined up both sides off the street and the whole route. It was a Beautiful site seeing all the flags being waved as we rode by.
I was handed an envolope as we started our bikes, so I couldn’t open it until we where done. After the parade was over, we went to a local watering hole to get something cold to drink, and thats when we opened the envolope. There was a check made out to “Operation Yellow Ribbon of South Jersey”, from American Legion Post 146, in the amount of $300. WOW!!! That was Awesome!! Operation Yellow Ribbon helps Warriors Watch South Jersey welcome home our HEROS and they also send Care Packages to our Troops overseas. When Tug told Dave from Operation Yellow Ribbon what American Legion Post 146 did, he was speechless, which if very unusual for Dave.
I would like to Thank Riverside Township and American Legion Post 146 for inviting us and for their donation to Operation Yellow Ribbon of South Jersey. Hope to see everyone again next year.
