Ride Report for Ride Captain House

On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, Warriors Watch Riders along with A Hero`s Welcome and Operation Yellow Ribbon honored my father WWII vet and former POW SSgt Herman Bard with a Mug & Hug. To say he was surprised is an understatement! Family members had gathered at the house for what he thought was just a BBQ. He was out on the front porch when we rode up the street making noise. Even as we parked in front of the house it still took him a few moments to realize this was all for him! He loves what the WWR do but never thought he would be on the receiving end of a Welcome Home/Mug & Hug.

Also honored that day was long time neighbor and Marine vet Roy Edge. He knew what was going to happen for my father but had no idea he was going to be recognized and thanked as well.

After the Heros were thanked by the WWR and neighbors, the BBQ finally happened with some of the riders staying to join us for food and spend time with our Hero.

This was my first time as RC of a mission and I want to give a big thank you to everyone that came out to honor my father. I am proud and honored to be part of this great group of people I consider family.

Bikes: 61 …..Cages:5 ….. Over 100 people!!!

THANK YOU!!!!!
