Ride Report for Ride Captain Glen DeVries
It was a bright sunny day and SSG Carter had finally made it home.  We met at the Dominicks parking lot, waiting for Tommy to arrive.  His mom was in charge of getting Tommy to the parking lot.  Her excuse to get him there was “Dominicks was having something special for all Military and their families”.   Tommy listened to his mom and arrived to a flagline and cheers of Welcome Home.  Along with Tommy came several family members that were glad to have Tommy home.  You could feel the air was full of excitement and happiness.  SSG Carter brought home a friend of his, Dana who also was in the Air Force.  We were able to thank both of them and show our appreciation.

We were escorted from the Dominicks to Tommys home by the Romeoville Police Dept.  As we pulled up to the house there were neighbors outside cheering and thanking him for his service.   Presentations were made, banner was signed and pictures taken.  SSG Carter was very thankful for the support and also announced that he had signed up for another 4 years in the Air Force.  With that, another round of hugs and cheers were given and we were on our way to leave Tommy and Dana enjoy their time home.

Thank you to the Romeoville Police Department and thank you to Tommy and Dana for volunteering to protect our freedom.
