Ride Report for Ride Captain Tim
Great visit with the folks at Sims. Carol Volpi entertained with the piano as WWR members mingled. Richie, our in-house member, looked proud in his vest, but only after breaking several land speed records getting to his room to put it on. Apparently we caught Richie off guard with our arrival, and he felt out of uniform. I have never seen anyone move a wheel chair at such a pace; using both feet on the floor and one hand on a handrail, he almost didn’t make the turn down his corridor.

Both WWR members and Carol learned during this visit that a new kid on the block has won the hearts and minds of several of the residents. Once the “Texas Hold-Em” dealer showed up, all bets were off, or should I say all bets were on. In the future we may have to plan around this invaluable dealer of the cards if we ever want to win back a first place spot with the heroes. All had a great visit, and bless the young dealer for the time he invest in entertaining this great group of heroes. Thanks to Carol and all the members that took time out of their busy schedules to support this monthly visit.
