Ride Report for Ride Captain Tim

WWR,

Wounded Warrior arrivals continued to gain momentum as the clock ticked. 9/12, and 9/13 arrivals entered the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport to same enthusiasm and outpouring of Honor and Respect as the first arrival on 9/11 received. Our members, our group, and our community never waned in their energy and commitment to each and every Warrior as they neared the “Red Carpet Welcome” that awaited each of them. We welcomed, we recruited, we thrilled, and we enjoyed. Our dedication to community involvement netted big profits. By being proactive with our energy, in addition to welcoming expected Wounded Warriors, we also gained some bonus Veterans which included WWII (both welcoming and welcomed, totaling 4). One of our welcoming WWII Veterans was also showing off a bit by celebrating his 70th wedding anniversary and including his beautiful bride in the welcome flag line. We had two WWII Veterans (welcomed) one Vietnam Veteran (welcomed), one Afghanistan returning Air Force Veteran (welcomed), several Air force travelers (welcomed). All these bonus Veterans were honored because you, the membership, involved the bystanders….JOB WELL DONE. In total we welcomed an additional 10 flights during this two day period. Great job by the Welcome Center for serving as the command post, and for providing food and drink for all involved.

Motor cycles, Members, Private autos, Participation, Enthusiasm, Honor, Respect= more than any organization could have ever hoped for

Proud to be a Member,
Tim
