Ride Report for Ride Captain Tug
Upon meeting at the secondary rally point the weather was looking bleak.  However, by the time we left the main rally point to pick up our Hero, LT Candice Bujak, we had about fifteen bikes, a couple of cages, and Capt. Beppel of the Mr Ephraim PD ready to make some noise.  After the ride brief we rolled over to Candice’s sister’s home with sirens, horns, and throttles making enough noise you might’ve thought we were picking up a rock star.  The LT came out front to see what all the noise was about, so we grabbed hold of her and beat her up pretty good with hugs and hand shakes.  before heading to Mt. Ephraim.
We rolled down Interstate 295 and exited for Mt. Ephraim.  At the exit Mt. Ephraim FD joined us and now we had a bit of a parade going on.  We did a slow ride past the LT’s home and then as we pulled up in front of Mary Bray School we rode under a HUGE American flag which was hanging from Mt. Ephraim FD’s ladder truck.  The entire student body was outside waiting for a “special guest”.   And this guest certainly must be someone important to have the PD, FD, bikers, and the Yellow Ribbon Club all involved.

The school children had no idea who the special guest was, but the school had three kids standing there waiting with flowers, one of which was Lt. Bujaks daughter Krista.  Well you can just imagine the look on her daughter’s face when mom stepped out of the car.  From there we all went inside to watch the Lt receive a proclamation from Mt. Ephraim naming April 26, 2012 as Lt Candice Bujak Day.  She also received the Camden County Service medal, presented by Lt Col Al Bancroft, USMA ret., and some goodies from the Yellow Ribbon Club.  A magic coin found its way into the Lt’s palm.  After all the festivities were done, we had a chance to mug and hug the Lt once again.

Thanks go out to all those that help set this up and took part in this double welcome home surprise
