Ride Report for Ride Captain Deborah L. Shelley

Approximately 25 motorcycles thundered down Route 70 toward La Bove Grande Restaurant where the family and friends of 34 year old, Joe Koszyk, were celebrating his welcome home.  Joe enlisted in the NJ Army National Guard. After attending Basic and Advanced Training over the last seven (7) months, Joe is now a fully qualified 15T Helicopter mechanic with the US Army National Guard.

Accompanied by his beautiful wife, Marcie and 11 year-old Son, Christopher, Joe was awed by the number of Warrior Watch Riders who waited in line to thank him for his service to our country.  After Joe was coined, the attention was briefly turned to his wife, Marcie, who was shocked to also be honored with the Military Spouse Certificate.

The day can best be summed up by Joe’s thankful Mom and Dad, Eileen and Joe, who sent me this message the following morning; “No words can tell you what your beautiful drive by did for our family!  My son was really touched and surprised!  He is so grateful to you all as is our whole family.  Thank you for your selfless gift to us and please thank all of the riders/veterans and let them know we will be praying for them.

God bless you all!
