This is our Static Display 1965 “H” Model Huey Aircraft. This is owned by both
the Concord Vet Center & Amvets. We escort this Huey to parades and various
Veterans functions. On this day the Vet Center was having is annual Picnic, out
on Brennan Island. All the Vets and staff have a great get together with their families.
We picked up the Huey at 0545 Hrs. and escorted her approx. 30 miles east into
what we call the Delta area. We crossed 2 Bridges and rolled thru the Delta. We run between 35 & 55 MPH. Since the trailer is so low. This aircraft sits on a Low-Boy
custom made trailer. We got across the bridges and rolled into Brennan Island State
Park around 0700 Hrs. We staged it at a specific spot,Unhooked it,took a Coffee
break and headed out to the other 3 missions. This Huey has had many great experiences.
Not only for us,but the Vets that see her.Brings back lots of memories.
