Ride Report Posted for Dennis Jolly

After much planning from a very excited family, it was time to welcome home Army Specialist Jeffrey Short back from Iraq.

WWR & AHW gathered in Towamencin Township waiting for Jeff’s Mother-in-law (Polly) and wife (Shannon) to bring him to us from the airport.  Jeff’s Mom & Dad were also waiting with us along with Perkasie Fire police.

When Jeff got out of the car he was in amazement of all that was going on.  His wife later said that he thought that was nice that everyone came out to welcome him home.  However, he didn’t expect  that we were going to give him an escort.  Needless to say he was overwhelmed by the entire experience.

We moved out of the Towamencin gas station with Perkasie Fire police out front.  Following was 6 large flagged bikes, followed by Jeff and his family.  Then LOT’S of Warriors Watch Bikes and LOT’s of “A Hero’s Welcome” cars.

As we approached Perkasie Township several Fire trucks from surrounding towns joined the escort and we could see entire families lining the streets waving flags, clapping and showing support for our hero.

As we pulled up to the house there seemed to be hundreds of people waiting to see Jeff.  Jeff was presented with WWR coin and “A Hero’s Welcome” certificate from Maria.

Jeff told everyone that he really appreciated everything we did but shared (with a tear in his eye) that just before he left Iraq, they had lost one of their troops.  He wanted us keep our troops in our thoughts and prayers.

Thanks to Towamencin PD, Hatfield PD, Penn Ridge Regional PD, Perkasie PD, Fire department and Fire Police for all their support.  You guys were outstanding.

Welcome Home Jeff and thank you for your service to our great country!
