Ride Report posted for Spike

This mission was a special request from the family for us to escort their fallen loved one.  We staged at the mortuary & met the family, which came outside to greet all the riders.  We stood the flag line & since there weren’t enough family members there, the riders were the pall bearers.  We had 15 bikes in attendance.  Once we placed Oriville into his coach, we set the stage up & proceed the escort to the cemetary in Hayward.  The escort went very smooth since we have 5 tail gunners & the rest of the bikes within the escort.  Once we arrived at the cemetary, we set up our flag line with the original 6 riders pall bearing once more.  Brian Harris from the Scottish American Military Society assisted the Army Honor Detail by playing Taps and flag folding.  The ceremony was very quiet and honorable.  Once the services concluded, Oriville’s sister called me to the limo and I knelt down on one knee to hear her.  She couldn’t stop thanking me enough and praised the riders for what we did for her brother.  I told her that it is an honor for us to be there for her and her family.  Farewell brother, farewell.
