Ride report posted for Spike

This mission came about by one of our friends at the Harley shop where we stage in Oakland. Since this was an early flight out and a week day (traffic), we had to leave even earlier.  We staged at 6am down the street from their house.  It was a little chilly and wet and I was the only rider.  Just before I left the staging area, Josie from Antioch Military Families showed up in her car and on her way to work.  We arrived at the house and my friend Katie from the Harley shop was there waiting.  I said my good mornings to everyone and we were ready to roll.  Katie and I took the lead and headed off to the airport.  Now since this was early in the morning, the commute traffic is very heavy in 3 different locations along our route.

Normally this was a 45 minute ride however it took us almost 2 hours.  Once we arrived at the airport, Michael made a comment to me “I can’t believe you came all the way out here to drive through all of that traffic just for me”.  I responded “No worries – I got your back and I WILL be here when you come home”!  Be safe little brother.
