Ride Report posted for Spike

This mission was another one on the “special” side since this Sargents mom is one of our local Blue Star Moms.  We staged at the Harley shop in Oakland near the airport.  Due to the Sargent’s security needs, we did not take any pictures.  We started with 13 bikes and mom met us at staging before we headed to Oakland Airport.  Several things happened to this Sargent – he turned 24 on the 19th, made Sargent on the 18th and he got his Green Beret on the 18th before coming home on the 19th.  We arrived at the airport and Joshua came walking down – some of the passengers stood by just to watch.  As he got closer to us, the cheers and mug & hug commenced.  We got the Sargent and his bags and headed home.  Once at his house, neighbors were waiting and he was presented with flags, certificates and coins as well as many well-wishes.  Joshua was well aware, since we welcomed him home about a year-and-a-half earlier.  Welcome home Joshua – we WILL see you again!
