Ride Report posted for Matter
It was a sunny but cold January 9th morning when members of Warriors Watch, family and friends gathered at the Frisbie Senior Center in Mt. Prospect IL. for a surprise welcome home for LT. James P Keith. James actually came home a day earlier than expected but with some creative thinking his wife Colleen, co-captains Shirley Horsman and Mickey Woodhouse coordinated a true surprise for this dedicated 20 year career soldier.
The group was then escorted to his home lead by Mt. Prospect Police and Fire. Turning on the street to his home were more friends and neighbors lining the street with welcome home signs and flags. Inside the clubhouse he was greeted by more family and friends with handshakes and hugs. He was then presented with the WWR Challenge coin, a copy of the forum thread and our WWR beads.
He thanked everyone and said how much of a true surprise this was for him. He spoke of meeting a Vietnam Vet at the airport that welcomed him and he thanked him for his service,
told him that it was people like him and all other Vets that inspired him to choose this career path.
Not a dry eye in the house….
Welcome home James
