AFTER-RIDE REPORT FILED FOR WWR ILLINOIS STATE COORDINATOR JON:

This was not a scheduled event, our social director was reading the morning paper and read an article of a returning soldier, Ben Unjom who lived in the next town over who had just come home the day before and was quoted saying “I’m just glad to come home alive” Well with that and couple of hours before our next scheduled event we went on a hunt for Ben. We went up to his door and rang the bell. (By the way, Lisa’s new name is Stalker) Ben’s sister came to the door and was quite surprised to see a small group of leather clad people with American Flags wanting to say hello and thank you to Ben. “He’s sleeping; do you want me to wake him up?” YES PLEASE was the response from our over-caffeinated group. A few minutes later Ben emerged from his home looking bewildered, who are these strange people and why are they here? We explained who were are and why we felt it was important to wake him up. He was very grateful for the thanks and gratitude. Here’s a picture of Army Specialist Ben Unjom.
