WARRIORS' WATCH RIDERS: SPREADING THE WORD, GROWING THE MISSION.
The Warriors' Watch Riders Vision Statement says, in part, that the Warriors' Watch Riders will "Engage in public relations campaigns to make our presence known to the nation and to the world in order to advance our mission."
We say that and do that because we recognize that in order to carry out our mission, and by carrying out our mission to achieve our Vision, people must know who we are and what we are doing, and why.
If an American Warrior comes home to Philadelphia, or Chicago, or Fort Dix or Fort Stewart, chances are he is going to receive a hero's welcome. But if an American Warrior comes home to, say, Denver, chances are there will be no motorcycle escort or yellow ribbons.

Since our founding on May 1, 2008, chapters of the Warriors' Watch Riders have spread from the immediate Philadelphia area to more than 30 states and four countries. It's fundamental - the more we grow, the closer we get to achieving our Vision.
There are of course many ways to spread the word and to grow. One of those ways was found in Illinois, by the Northern Illinois/Southern Wisconsin (Chicago area) chapter of Warriors' Watch. The State Coordinator for that chapter is "The Stalker," and she recently appointed a Media SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for that region, Cheryl. Cheryl immediately began to earn her pay by securing a table at the 28th Annual Cycleworld International Motorycle Show, in exchange for nothing more than some reciprocal publicity.
The show was a huge success, and the WWR table and display was a big draw. 32 new members signed up the first night along, and by the time the display was packed up, we had more than 200 new riders for the WWR!
Well Done Central States WWR! Be sure to check out JohD's report on this event, and also the photo page for images taken over the weekend.

Active duty Army Combat Medic "Doc" Kromer has stepped up to take on new chapters in Virginia and Washington, D.C. Doc is now assigned to Walter Reed Army Medical Center, but is working out of the Pentagon. WELCOME NEW REGIONAL COORDINATOR RAMBONE, REGIONS 3 & 4 (MOUNTAIN & PACIFIC)
As we reported last week, the WWR regions are Atlantic States, Central States, Mountain States, and Pacific States.
The REGIONAL COORDINATORS for these new regions are JOHN D. for the Central States and Al (Deuce) for the Atlantic States. Rambone (Harry Rombold) has now agreed to step up and start to get the Moutain and Pacific regions up to speed, as well as to rope in all of our "at large" members into cohesive units. It's a heck of a challenge, Harry, and we thank you for taking it on!

WELCOME NEW STATE COORDINATOR MATT WILLIAMS!
Pennsylvania is a big state. Currently the Warriors' Watch Riders has chapters in the SouthEast, the NorthEast, and in Central PA. Now, we have a new State Coordinator for the NorthWestern (Erie area) corner of the State, Matt Williams. Matt is a member of the Southern Cruisers MC and is also a law enforcement officer.
Welcome Matt, and thank you for stepping up!

*This newsletter is named "The Weekly Ride" or "The Ride", for short, in memory of and to honor Sgt. Jennifer Hartman, U.S. Army. Sgt. Hartman was killed in Iraq by America's enemies. She died in defense of our freedom at the age of 20. This quote from Jennifer was read at her graveside:
"It's not about what happened in the past. It's not about what might happen in the future. It's about the ride, for Christ's sake."
