SEPA 12/16 H/M WWR Member Anthony Cirillo
We are truly moved by the passing of this long time member. Anthony has surely attended thousands of missions over the years. Understandably, we haven't seen him recently.
Anthony P. Cirillo, 62, passed away after a long illness on November 3, 2023, with his wife by his side. Anthony was a devoted and adoring husband to his wife of twenty-eight years, Deborah G. Groeber. He was a doting uncle to his many nieces and nephews and loved to share in their life’s endeavors. There are too many nieces and nephews to list, but they will miss their Uncle Anthony immeasurably and carry his love and support in their hearts. His gentleness, love, and caring touched countless people’s lives.
Anthony worked for more than forty years in the telecommunications industry helping people connect with one another. Invested in the lives of others, he volunteered in many organizations throughout his life including Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association, Telephone Pioneers of America, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Patriot Guard Riders, Warriors’ Watch Riders and Philadelphia Achilles, and he was a volunteer ski instructor for the disabled for more than twenty years. Traveling the world and taking photos along the way was a passion he shared with those he loved. He proposed to his wife at the Great Wall of China and together they traveled to all seven continents, culminating in their last trip to Iceland and Greenland one month before his passing.
All WWR members are asked to place a black ribbon across their back patch until after the services for our friend, Anthony. Since Anthony was not a veteran, there will be no flag line.
