Justin Marrero, 20, passed away on 12/14/2021 at his Army base, Fort Carson in Colorado. He was loved tremendously by his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, FDNY EMT Michelle Costello, extended family, and his girlfriend Ashley Falzarano. Justin was born in Queens, NY, on 6/29/2001 and lived in Colonia, NJ, until he graduated from Woodbridge High School and enlisted into the United States Army. Justin was assigned to 59th Quartermaster Company, 68th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, where he operated as a technician.

Justin was one of the good guys that walked this earth. A good soul that cared and considered others. He was best described as "stubborn" but with the purest of hearts. He would make people smile and laugh any chance he had. Justin had a great sense of humor and was witty with his words. Justin was known to be fearless and adventurous. Justin would be on hikes or trips with his girlfriend, all while making her laugh any chance he could get. When he wasn't doing that, he was spending time with friends, laughing, joking, playing sports, video games, working out, or just making funny videos for his mother to laugh at. His mother raised him right, and he made sure to call his grandmother, Jeanne Molfese, regularly knowing how much happiness it brought her. He served his country honorably and impacted so many lives in such a short time we were blessed to have him with us. Justin will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and good looks. He also had a smile that would never be forgotten by anyone who knew him.

The funeral will be held at Bedell-Pizzo in Staten Island, NY. The wake will be on Dec 28th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The following day, Dec 29th will be a viewing at 8:30 am-10 am, followed by a procession to the church. Mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church on Amboy Road and Maguire ave in Staten Island, NY at 10:30 am on Dec 29th. Interment will follow on Thursday, Dec 30th at 9:30 am at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA. There he will receive military honors and a proper ceremony he truly deserves.
