Henry Carl Dowell, 84, USAF, 1957-1977 Lebanon, MO Monday 10 May 21
The family and loved ones of USAF TSgt Henry Carl Dowell (Ret) has honored the Warriors’ Watch Riders and Patriot Guard Riders with a request for a flag line and final salute (NO ESCORT) at their loved ones Celebration of Life at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, 320 S. Adams Ave, Lebanon, MO. Our hero will later be laid to rest with Full Military Honors in Kansas City, MO.
Hero Dowell proudly and honorably served in the USAF for over 20 years, primarily serving as an Air Traffic Control Technician and earned the Air Force Longevity Award with 4 Oak Leaf Clutters as well as the National Defense Service Medal. Hero Dowell also served as an Air Force Recruiter. He was stationed in several locations including England, Thailand and South Korea as well as stateside. After his retirement from the USAF he settled in the KCMO area and worked as a line supervisor for Amoco Oil Co. in Harrisonville, MO for several years. After retiring from Amoco Oil, he and his wife Bobbye traveled across the country in their RV for seven years. He then retired again to Lebanon, MO in 2003.
Our hero enjoyed collecting clocks, caring for his lawn, restoring his classic Packard, and searching for antiques. He will be remembered as a devoted family man, a dedicated airman, a patriotic citizen and as a good friend to many.
