PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR UPDATES

Cpl. Carlson is from our very own Gunny Otto's (Cliff's son) squadron.

From Terry Coffman & Mark Finnegan, WWR members/friends:
As most of you know, we recently lost five Marines in an Osprey MV-22B Tiltrotor accident. The accident occurred in Glamis Ca on June 8th, 2022. The Marines were assigned to Marine Tiltrotor (VMM) Squadron 364, The "Purple Fox Family", Marine Aircraft Group (Mag) 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW) and were based at Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton, Ca. The accident occurred during a routine training mission.

One of the Marines was Crew Chief Cpl Nathan E Carlson, 21 years young, from Machesney Park.

The family will be bringing Nathan home next week, and has asked for a Police/Fire and motorcycle escort from O'Hare Airport, back to the Machesney Park area.

Some plans are still being finalized, but this is what we know so far:

DIGNIFIED TRANSFER/ESCORT: Thursday, June 30, 2022 3:00 PM

WHERE: Stage at the Tollway Maintenance Facility (M5) at the I90/290/53 interchange (Arlington Heights) area no later than 3:00 pm.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday July 2, 2022 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM

WHERE: Harlem High School, 9229 N Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115.

Please help us show the family we support them in their loss.
