The family of Jiggs Gilmore has honored Warriors Watch Riders with their request for us to attend and honor their loved one at Jiggs' Memorial Service on Wednesday 31 May, 2023. We will stand our flag line during visitation and escort to the cemetery.
Roy Lebon "Jiggs" Gilmore, 85, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023. Jiggs graduated from Cottondale High in 1955, attended Chipola College and then joined the US Air Force, stationed at Robins AFB and Okinawa, Japan. Jiggs had a full schedule working for Ralph McClure at Quality Tire, helping with cattle and checking local gas charts.After a while of working three jobs with a young family, he decided to apply with UPS and became the second hired UPS driver in Florida. He accumulated over a million safe driving miles within 11 years. He often told his family that he had backed more safe miles than most of us had driven. Jiggs was one of a kind. They broke the mold.
Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Wednesday, 31 May, 2023 at Trinity Baptist Church with Reverends Danny Mann and Roland Rabon officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with military honors by the United States Air Force Honor Guard. Marianna Chapel Funeral Home will be directing. The family will receive friends for visitation from 0930 until the time of service at Trinity Baptist Church 3023 Bumpnose Road Marianna, Fl. 32446
