SEPA 5/30 Memorial Day Ceremony & POW/MIA Chair

Warriors' Watch has again been asked to celebrate Memorial Day with the students at Springfield Township Middle School in Montgomery County.

Here is their request:
I'm reaching out because we are starting to plan the middle school memorial day assembly and we wanted to invite you and the WWR to attend. This year, in addition to replacing the flags, we are going to dedicate our new POW/MIA Chair. This year, we are going to hold the assembly the afternoon of 5/30 in front of the flag pole, from 2:00-2:40.

Warriors' Watch has been asked for several years and our response has been sad due to weather and scheduling conflicts. Hopefully, this year we can show in force and let those kids know what a great country they are fortunate to live in!!

Rally Point:
Rally Time: 1:00 pm
KSU: 1:30 pm
RC: Calamity Jane

Standing by. The school has done this every year and it's a wonderful teaching event. In addition to what Mr. Fears stated, they also have the POW-MIA/Missing Man table set up and explain it. This is very well-done and I hope some of you can make it.

So you can plan, the school is right at Route 309 and Paper Mill Road - maybe 2 miles from the Fort Washington turnpike interchange. The rally point is about a 1/2 mile from the school. The bikes are a highlight for the kids as are the police and fire trucks who will, hopefully, be able to be there.

There will be beverages, snacks, chairs and facilities at the rally - free.
