Ronald A. Kratz, 79, a long-time resident of Schwenksville, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday afternoon, March 24, 2023. He and his wife, Peggy J. (Nace) Kratz, would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on June 20th of this year.
Born April 11, 1943, in Sellersville, PA, he was a son of the late Wilmer D. and Sarah Pearl (Heacock) Kratz. He was a 1961 graduate of Collegeville-Trappe High School and attended Ursinus College. He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Kratz was employed with Merck of West Point, PA, for over 32 years. He was a life member and former chief of the Schwenksville Fire Company, and a member of the Skippack Fire Company, Schwenksville American Legion, and the Patriotic Order of the Sons of America. A motorcycle enthusiast, he was a long-standing member of Pennsylvania Chapter Y of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. He enjoyed giving back to his country and community, cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, and quality time with family and friends.
Family will receive friends from 10-10:45 am on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 3440 Skippack Pike at Cedars Road, Skippack, PA, with the public memorial service beginning at the funeral home at 11 am. Interment will follow at Limerick Garden of Memories. For those desiring, contributions may be made in his memory to Tunnel to Towers Foundation
