*************UPDATE this is a 4 hr event WWR can be there as they can see Meghan for flag line info Stars to be handed out to our veterans*************** We have a request from Meghan Burghardt from Meadowview Nursing & Rehab Center. I was looking to have some of your members attend a Veterans celebration event on June 14, 12-4pm at Meadowview Nursing & Rehab center in Montgomery County, PA. We have 2 guest speakers coming (one of which is Rodney Wyatt from Salute2Service) as well as Buglers playing, Live entertainment, a BBQ, Flag dedication by Congresswoman Madeleine Dean's office and more! It is a free event. Outdoors. Meadowview is home to 40 veterans at this moment who are either short term rehab to home or long-term care residents of ours. We are looking forward to honoring and celebrating our veterans as well as any community veterans that are attending. We have 80 RSVP's so far and climbing! RC. The Major's funeral at WCNC is scheduled to end at 2:30; depending, I/we could get to this program at the end. Regretfully, I need to stand down. |
