SEPA 5/4 Bridge Dedication - Flag Line
It's a good day for WWR members to go out and recognize a service member who gave their life for our country.
Bucks County is dedicating a bridge to this hero. "Jimmy" Erkes was an Eagle Scout, Class President for two years at Palisades HS, ARMY ROTC at Rutgers, Officer's Candidate School at Fort Benning Ga., Airborne and Special Forces Training, Platoon Leader with Company D 321st Infantry Brigade Americal Division. KIA Jan 7, 1970, enlisted for 1 year, in country 36 days. He was from Upper Black Eddy PA.
WWR has been asked to stand a flag line during the dedication to the memory of this hero. The dedication, which is being held with the support of the Pennsylvania Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (PAVVMF), will take place where Farm School Road crosses Tohickon Creek in Bedminster. Route 611N, pass route 113, Farm School Road on the left.
