SEPA 5/13 M/H Art Thomson USAF

Note: Times were adjusted to coincide with the first mission of the day.

Warriors' Watch is pleased to go and thank this airman for his service to our country and our community.

I have known Art for over a decade, almost two. We were both scout leaders in NE Philly. He's a good husband, Dad, and grand-pop.

The bio below is written by Art himself in a post he put on Facebook a few days ago:
51 Years ago Today
7 April 1972
My life in the United States Air Force began. Throughout my almost 17 years of service I have had many pleasurable and rewarding experiences. All My assignments rewarding. Who knew back then it would lead to a a 40 years plus federal service in a technical career as an electrician in various forms. I started as an Aircraft Electrical Repairman ending in January 1989. From there, moved on to the Navy and worked as a civilian, on Ships at PNSY as Ship Electrician 51 Shop. This was a short adventure only a few years. I was one of the smart rats who walked off the PNSY sinking ship and landed a job with the United States Mint as an commercial electrician doing routine repairs. I became their electronic security technician and moved on from there to machine press repair to Project Management. All ending in November 2014 in retirement.

The Air Force gave me the opportunity to meet many wonderful people, both family and friends. I developed a philosophy early in my career to have the JOB work for me. With this in mind, I sought more then being fenced in. I experienced many events wherever my assignments were. The list is long and the happiness is longer. I'll just end by saying Happy 51st and my love goes out to all my family and friends still living and passed. To the ones that are here reading this and to the one's locked in my memories forever.

Join us when we go to his son's home and surprise him during a family party.

Nice group was there to acknowledge Mr. Thomson's service in the Air Force, Boy Scouts etc. We even wished his grandson a happy birthday.
