This ride is being organized by Bucks County Riders. Greg Small is a detective with Falls Township. His son, Matt Small, is a twenty one year old gym rat who became sick at Christmas in a small town near Dublin Ireland while on a family vacation. It took a while to diagnose, but he was eventually transferred to a hospital in Dublin where he was found to have a combination of the flu type A, strep, and pneumonia at the same time. He was placed into a medically induced coma. He lost sixty pounds and now weighs in at 150 pounds. Matt does not belong to a particular bike group, but does ride with his friends around Bucks County. His father says that he is depressed since he was unable to celebrate his twenty first birthday while in the coma. His father would like to see some members from the bike community meet them and escort him home when he returns from Ireland on March 30th to their home in Levittown. The plane is due to land at Newark Airport at 11am. The family agreed to meet us at the Wawa on Route 13 at Green Lane. This request came into Warriors Watch but doesn't meet our criteria. Bucks County Riders will take the lead for us. We expect local police to welcome an invite to this escort. |
