We have a request to stand a flag line at a road designation for US Air Force Major James Doherty Highway. See below for some of the details. The U.S. Air Force Major James Doherty Memorial Highway Road Renaming PA House Resolution passed, HB 1560 (Stephens, T) Road designation/U.S. Air Force Major James Doherty Memorial Highway. I am asking for your riders to arrive approx. 10:30 am. - You will welcome others to the event. Program – Outline – thus far: 10:00 Arrive and set up 10:30 Meet and greet - Prep everyone involved 11:00 Station Flag line on Borders of Presentation area – Warriors Watch Riders at 10:55 - just prior to the event. Post the colors – US AF Color Guard – working with MSgt Micah Cascone at the base Pledge of Allegiance - All Bugler – Reveille – HHHS – David Schopp was very helpful Opening/Welcome all - Todd Blessing – Invite Reverend or Todd Singer – God Bless America – US AF Singer – again working with MSgt Micah Cascone Dedication – Read Legislation – Todd Eulogy - family member will talk about James R. Doherty (5-10 mins.) Presentation of Flag/Flowers – US AF Color Guard member & Todd to Family Bugler – Taps - HHHS Singer – America the Beautiful – US AF Singer Closing - Todd Retire the Colors – US AF Color Guard Retire Flag line Pictures…. 11:45 – 12:15ish Light Refreshments/Wrap Up 12:30 Complete wrap-up and exit. The VFW asked if you could park your bikes on the right hand side of the parking lot as you enter.
