On September 11, 2001, our world changed forever. It is a day that we will NEVER FORGET those Heroes that ran in so that others could run out. Cages are strongly suggested for this event. Bikes are not necessary. Each year at MISSION BBQ, we make September 11 a very special day. It is our privilege to honor and support Our Hometown Heroes. As a small gesture of appreciation, all Firefighters, First Responders and Police Officers are served a Free Sandwich. At noon, we will have a live version of the National Anthem sung by Philadelphia Police Officer Nate Fulton with the Homeland/Counter Terrorism Unit, as the American Flag is held high by our Philadelphia FD & Union Fire Company. We invite all of our local Firefighters, First Responders and Police Officers to join us so that we may thank them for what they do for Our Communities. It would be our privilege to SERVE you! We would love to have you standing in support as we remember and honor those we lost on that tragic day. Any vehicles and apparatuses that are coming to support the live anthem ceremony need to arrive no later than 11:30, as Anthem will go off promptly at noon, and they will need to be in place prior to. We hope that you will be able to join us! Thank YOU for all that you do!!
