SNJ 8/5 H/M Charles "Barney" Manchester (VNV US Navy) Rally: Budd Funeral Home 522 Salem Ave. Woodbury Rally Time:1700 Flag line in place by:1715 Obituary Charles "Barney" Manchester, age 76, died on July 22, 2022 at home in West Deptford. Raised in West Deptford, Barney was in the first graduating class of West Deptford High School in 1964. He lived in Gloucester County all his life. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War from 1967-1969. Barney started out as a welder in his family business. He will be remembered as a lover of family, music, dancing, fashion, and as a super “foodie.” He is survived by his wife of 32 years Denise (Wagner), children Laura and Julia Manchester, Brian and Glenn Lozuke, Ilene Bennett, mother Alice (the late Robert) Kern, siblings Lorraine (David) Shields, Leon Manchester, Mark (Polly) Manchester, and 7 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father Leon Manchester. Friends may greet the family at 5:30 pm on Friday, August 5, 2022, followed by Military Honors and Memorial Service at 7pm. Interment will be 10am on Saturday in the Gloucester County Veteran's Cemetery, 240 Tuckahoe Rd, Williamstown, NJ. Those desiring may make a contribution to their favorite charity or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
