One of our own "Throatpunch" has requested a flag line for an Army Veteran, John Emerson Conklin, who honorable served our country as a member of the U.S. Army has reported to his final duty station. Lets honor this veteran and family with a flag line.
John Emerson Conklin Jr. age 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 24, 2022 at Crestview Center in Langhorne, PA.
He was born in Scranton, raised in Bensalem and was a lifelong resident of Levittown with an exception of a few years in the Poconos. he was a graduate of Bensalem High School and lettered in all his sports. He proudly served in the U. S. Army and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. John had worked as a splicer for Bell Telephone for 30 years until his retirement. He was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he loved motorcycles, fishing, horseshoes, woodworking and most of all his dogs. Some Levittowners are even lucky enough to have a unique, handcrafted beer can pirate ship or airplane of his, in their collection.
Family and friends will be received at the James O. Bradley Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Bellevue Ave., Penndel, PA 19047 on Wednesday June 8, 2022 from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm with his Memorial Service to be held at 12:15 pm. His interment will follow the service in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in John's memory may be made to "Crossing Paths Animal Rescue"
