Lets come out and surprise US. Army SPC. James Chauvin as he is getting a surprise Welcome Home. He thinks he will be only going to the school to discuss the meaning of memorial day with the students. However that is only part of it as friends, family and the students of Van Zant elementary school will be surprising our hero with a surprise welcome home.




BIO:
Spc. James Chauvin:
US Army Specialist James Chauvin currently lives in Greenville, SC with his wife Courtney and puppy Hazel.
He graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans in 2015 with a Bachelor's degree in Homeland Security.
In January 2016, James joined the Louisiana Army National Guard and completed basic training at Ft. Sill in Oklahoma.
He then completed Advanced Training to become a Combat Medic at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX.
James served as a medic with the 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team for six years.
He deployed to Iraq for twelve months and returned home in October 2021.
During his deployment, he received the Combat Medic Badge, among other honors, for his treatment of patients under fire.
James’ sister-in-law is Mrs. Kate Steven, who teaches third grade at Van Zant Elementary School.
James has several family members living in South Jersey: His wife Courtney grew up in Medford, and his mother-in-law BettyAnn German, father-in-law Jeff German, sister-in-law Kelley German, brother-in-law Walker Steven, and niece Eleanor all live in the area.
James is an Emergency Medical Technician for Greenville County and loves being a first responder.
