A request came in from Dan J Mahon. His Uncle Joseph A. Stearne proudly served his country as a US Marine. Joseph A. Stearne, lifelong resident of Abington, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. He was 81 years of age. Joseph was born in Abington to the late Elsie nee Swenson and Joseph A. Stearne. He is preceded in death by his loving first wife Catherine Stearne. Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 13 years Maria Del Carmen Garza and by his sister Elsie Bender. Joseph family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 9 to 10AM, at St. Stephen's Cathedral, 8598 Verree Rd. Philadelphia, PA. A funeral service will begin at 10AM. Joseph will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn, PA. RALLY TIME: 8:45 FLAGLINE IN PLACE LOCATION: 8598 VERREE RD. PHILADELPHIA ESCORT TO HILLSIDE CEMETERY, ROSLYN, PA.
