We have been asked by the Nephew of George A. Briscella for Warriors' Watch to escort his Uncle from the funeral home in Port Richmond to Washington Crossing National Cemetery . The funeral services were previously held until a burial date was secured. Here are words from his obituary:
George Andes Briscella, 60, of Philadelphia, was tragically killed on Sunday, February 6, 2021. He was the loving husband of his high school sweetheart Jeanmarie (Guinter) Briscella for 39 years. Born in Philadelphia on August 23, 1961, he was the son of the late Anthony Briscella and his loving mother Patricia (Andes) Briscella. He was a Cardinal Dougherty graduate and Marine Corp Vet. George was a steel worker at Samuel Grossi and Sons for 15 years and Fed Ex Courier for 20 years. He loved traveling, kayaking and going to concerts with his wife. He also just loved spending any amount of time with his sons and grandchildren teaching them all the wisdom he could instill. George was larger than life and a true “legend”. His heart was always filled with love and strived to make everyone’s life a little bit better.
Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Jeanmarie, he is survived by his 4 sons, Tony Briscella and his wife Gina, of Wayne, PA; John Briscella; Michael Briscella and his wife Alyssa; Rockledge, PA; Nicholas Briscella. Grandchildren, Gianna, Anthony, Michael Vincent, Vanessa, Michael Francis and expecting another grandchild any day. George had a large extended family that he loved with all his heart and soul. 11 Brother/Sister In-Laws; 41 Nieces and Nephews; 35 Great-Nieces and Nephews; 4 Great-Great Nieces and Nephews; An extensive amount of loving Friends, Neighbors, and community.
