We have a request from Jennifer Wagner and her proud family. We will stand a flag line to honor Harry Ringheiser.
Harry Ringheiser passed away suddenly on December 20, 2021. He was 80 years old. Harry was born in Shenandoah, PA to the late Adele (nee Shirvinsky) and Harry Ringheiser, Sr. He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Karen; children, Karen Ullman, Michele "Micky" Ringheiser, Steven Ringheiser (Leslie), Dan Ringheiser, and Jennifer Wagner (Kevin); grandchildren, Shawn, Tommy, Jamie, Kyle, Dylan and Kayla; great-grandchildren, Mason and Eden; and sister, Jean Budka (Joe) and many nieces and nephews. Harry is preceded in death by his sisters, Joanne "Cookie" Lotierzo, and Margaret Ringheiser.

Harry was born a micro preemie on October 12, 1941. He was given his Last Rites on that day. Harry went on to beat the odds and live a full life for 80 years. He entered the Navy on November 20, 1959, where he was assigned to the USS Lawrence DDG 4. He received an Honorable Discharge on November 15, 1963. Harry joined the Philadelphia Police Department on January 3, 1966, where he faithfully served his city for 26 years. Shortly after his retirement, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Harry was a fighter and he beat that, too. Over the next nearly 3 decades, Harry survived heart attacks, strokes and many other ailments caused by the radiation treatment he received in 1992. There was no obstacle he could not overcome. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. His favorite title was "Pop Pop". In his younger days, Harry was an avid fisherman. If he could have been anywhere in the world, it would have been on a beach, surf fishing. He was also a passionate Eagles fan and was so happy that he lived to see the Eagles win their first Super Bowl in 2018. Harry was the true definition of a warrior and survivor. His family called him Superman. There was nothing he couldn't survive. It was shocking to learn that our Superman was not invincible after all, but he will always be our hero. He was loved beyond measure and will be deeply missed by many.
