We have a request from a Proud mom Kate Esrey. Sergeant Jason Esrey is the oldest of my 3 sons, he is returning home after 2years. The last time he was home was December 2019 after his 2nd deployment while he was home we were informed of his Aunts passing away, he was not able to stay due to having to report back to duty in Miramar California. After his Honorable discharge he took a job in a different state. This will be the first time we have seen him since. He will be accompanied by his girlfriend Sergeant Sara Brogan who also served with him and deployed on the same 2 tours of duty and also ranks Sergeant. He was born and raised in Ridley Township and Graduated from Ridley Senior High school.

Jason found a wonder in Sara; she surprised him with their trip here. Surprises for both though, since Mom got us involved. Weekday morning, so we were few, but we were mighty! Jason was surprised by us holding flags and hollering "welcome home" as they came down the escalator. After the escort home (and tour of the neighborhood), we turned the tables a bit and surprised both of them with our tokens of appreciation and certificates from A Hero's Welcome. If that wasn't enough, we embarrassed Jason (and ourselves) by singing Happy Birthday to him. On that note, we left the family to enjoy their visit.
