We have been asked to join Patriot Guard Riders in the flag line and escort from Ivy Hill Cemetery Chapel to WCNC and participate with a flag line at 1:30 committal service. We participated in the dignified transfer on 9/14.
Here is the information I have on this Active duty Army Sergeant:
Sgt. Vincent Walker passed away in California. Sgt. Walker received many medals including; Good conduct, Overseas Ribbon, Army achievement, Korean defense, and 2 Service Medals.

We have been asked to assist PGR with the Chapel flag line, the escort and subsequent flag line at WCNC. This is not A WWR mission rather a sanctioned assist and PGR rider Bill Ryan will be the RC. Frankly I think our assistance will be helpful at both locations.

Details: Service at Ivy Hill Cemetery Chapel 1201 Easton Road Philadelphia PA 19150
Rally: At Chapel 9:30 AM for flag line. Escort to WCNC 830 Highland Road Newtown after Service.
For those who choose to join at WCNC rally 1:00 Pm for 1:30 Committal

We are standing by.

The following are from postings elsewhere:

SGT Vincent Walker was serving with the US Army at Ft Irwin in the high desert when he passed away. He had served many years with the Army as a proud and dedicated soldier including deployments in the Global War On Terror.

It was with heavy hearts on Sept. 15, 2021, that the Raptor Battalion came together to pay respects and honor one of our own.

We lost Sgt. Vincent Walker Jr. on Aug. 27, 2021, and while the previous two weeks were extremely difficult, today provided the opportunity for closure as we said goodbye to “Unc,” as he was known in his platoon.

He was wise, some might say an “old soul” as compared to his peers, providing insight and advice to all who came to him in need. He was humble, never gloating or accepting of well-deserved recognition. Most of all he was a leader, providing direction, guidance, and encouragement in B/229 when they needed it most.

Sgt. Walker, you demonstrated exceptional service to your Country in both your words and deeds; and your memory and impact will leave a lasting impression on this battalion, through the many lives you touched.

“Be Thou at Peace”
