SEPA ECPA 6/5 Escort WWII Heroes to Reading Air Show
WWR has been asked to meet and greet these heroes and then escort them to Reading Air Show from Skippack Pa.. This invitation is to all riding groups and clubs who support our veterans!
The Mission Statement for Forever Young Veterans is to end the silent suffering of WWII, Korean, and Vietnam veterans by granting their unfilled dreams, returning them to the places where they fought and bringing them the honor, healing and hope they need and deserve.
On June 5th, we will be taking 8 WWII Veterans from Georgia, Tennessee. Pennsylvania and New Jersey to the Reading Air Show. The Veterans are arriving in Philly on 6/4 and will be staying in Skippack PA. thru 6/7. The age of our veterans is 95-100 years old. We feel the urgent need to honor these veterans for the 77th anniversary of the D-day invasion on June 6th due to their age. This may be our last trip to honor WWII veterans for our group.. Over the years we have completed 45 trips and honored over 2,300 senior veterans.
In the past, I assisted the Honor Flight program for 6 years and your organization was an integral part of our trips of honor. We would be honored for you to consider our request for an escort to the Reading Air Show. Respectfully, Rich Walzak, Forever Young Veterans.
Note: Being a part of this escort will not admit you into the air show. Tickets for the air show can be purchased on the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum website.
