TIM'S OBITUARY
U.S. Veteran
Mt. Ephraim – On April 24, 2021. Age 72. Loving father of Nicole Salamatin, Dominic Salamatin and Timothy Salamatin. Cherished grandfather of Taylor, Nicholas, J.J. and Bryson. Dear brother of Juanita Salamatin and Carmelita Torpey. Predeceased by his identical twin, Jimmy Salamatin and his siblings, Rose Salamatin, Vincent Salamatin, Domingo Salamatin and Dona Rodriguez. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Maffa.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on June 4, 1948 to the late Jesus D. Salamatin, Sr. and Geraldine Simmons Salamatin.

He proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart Medal recipient. Tim operated his own business, Sci-Tech Service out of Philadelphia for many years, specializing in climate control equipment for many large businesses throughout the area. He was the former Senior Vice Commander of the Runnemede VFW Post 3324.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewings on Thursday evening April 29th from 6 to 8 PM and again on Friday morning, April 30th from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 11 AM in the church. The mass will be livestreamed on Saint Mary’s Church Gloucester City Facebook page. Interment will follow at Camden County Veteran’s Cemetery in Harleigh Cemetery, Camden. There will be no viewings at the funeral home. Those attending must wear a mask or facial covering while observing social distancing guidelines in church and at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be greatly appreciated to support them with Tim’s funeral expenses. Remaining funds will be donated to SpectraCare, an organization that provides transitional and permanent housing programs for homeless or at-risk veterans and their families as well as helping plug gaps in veteran’s services and ensuring our nation’s veteran’s get the respect, care and services they have earned and deserve with dignity.
