The family of hero A1C Larry D. Decker, 84, has honored the Warriors’ Watch Riders with a request for a flag line and a final salute of their loved one (NO ESCORT) at the Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, 2001 W. Walnut Lawn, Springfield, MO. All patriots are welcome to join us in honoring this true American Hero, including the Patriot Guard Riders and others.
Hero Decker proudly and honorably served in both the USAF and the USN. Only one DD214 was available to recover information on our hero, but he did served a total of 7 years, 5 months and 9 days, being honorably discharged from the USAF in 1965 showing no foreign or sea service.
Hero Decker was born in New Cambria, MO to the late Lee & Blanche Decker and according to his obituary, enjoyed many things in life including Golf, BBQ-ing and teaching himself to play the guitar. After his military career, Larry became an Insurance Broker. He and his wife Betty Jo of 62 years had three sons, 1 daughter, ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews as well as a host of other family and friends.
